10 DIY Exfoliators and Sugar Scrubs – So Good You Could Eat Them!

We love exfoliating our skin and making those rough, dry patches transform into a smooth, clean surface. There are so many exfoliating scrubs on the market, but some can contain plastic microbeads, which are no good for the environment. They don’t break down and they’re too tiny to be filtered out by sewage systems. So what happens? Fish swallow them. Read more about why California proposed a ban on these beads here.

You wont miss the exfoliating sensation by ceasing to use those beads. It’s actually easy to make your own scrubs. It’s also super fun and can be a main event at your next party. Get some cute jars, make labels, and set out bowls of different ingredients and scrub recipes. Let guests make their own products and have something useable and smelly-good to bring home!

Since these are made from all natural ingredients, these scrubs are really SO good you could eat them!
