What is “Skip-care”, the minimalist skincare trend?

Sometimes we don’t have enough time to dedicate to a skincare routine, but that doesn’t mean we should abandon a routine altogether. That’s why the “skip-care” trend has been practiced more and more commonly.
This trend is mainly used by societies such as the Korean society, where they know very well that less is more and specialize in minimalist routines where incredible results can still be achieved.
This skip-care routine can be adapted to any skin type, including sensitive, oily, dehydrated, and even rosacea skin.

What are the products to use?

  1. Antioxidants: It should preferably be applied in the morning and can be a moisturizer or serum containing antioxidants. One of the most commonly used antioxidants is vitamin C.
  2. Sunscreen: It is an essential product and should be used at all times, without forgetting the neck, ears, and décolleté. If you are going to be outdoors, remember to reapply it constantly. On the other hand, if you will be indoors, you can apply one of lesser SPF, and reapplication can be more spaced.
  3. Retinol before resting: In addition to increasing collagen and elastin production, it will offer improvement of fine lines and wrinkles. It is recommended to use during the night to avoid prolonged sun exposure when using this product.
