How To Grow Thick and Long Eyelashes

Voluminous eyelashes are all the rage.  You too can have gorgeous, thick and long eyelashes and bat them in all their glory with these fuss-free home remedies.

1. Shea butter

Benefits:

Shea butter contains vitamin A and vitamin E, which strengthens your eyelashes by nourishing the hair follicles and enhances their growth.

Method of application:

Apply shea butter on your fingertips, and then massage it gently on to the eyelashes. Do this procedure daily before going to bed, and rinse off your eyes in the morning. Your lashes will grow stronger and thicker.

2. Castor oil

Benefits:

Castor oil is a known hair growth stimulant. The naturally occurring fatty acids in castor oil help your lashes grow longer and thicker.

Method of application:

Apply castor oil on the eyelashes carefully with a Q-tip. Leave it overnight, rinse it in the morning. Follow this ritual daily and you will notice a dramatic rise in the volume and length of your lashes in a couple of weeks.

3. A concoction of coconut, almond and olive oil

Benefits:

All of the three oils are extremely rich in proteins and minerals and can have amazing effects on your eyelashes. The high protein content in olive oil induces hair growth while the nourishing properties in coconut and almond oil keep your lashes silky and smooth and prevent breakage.

Method of application:

Mix the oils together, and apply the mixture gently on your eyelashes. Wash it off after 3-4 hours. You can use this eyelash growth concoction daily, any time of the day.

4. Green tea

Benefits:

Green tea is laden with antioxidants and restores eyelash hair growth, making them long, dense and strong.

Method of application:

Brew up a cup of green tea using tea leaves or a teabag and a cup of warm water. Once the tea cools, apply it to the lashes and leave it on overnight. Refrigerate the rest and use the concoction for the next 3 days, but not beyond that.
