ULTRASONIC SKIN SCRUBBER

Cleanser, toner, and moisturizer are all part of our must-not-missed daily skin routine, however, there is one important skincare step that we sometimes neglect, that is exfoliation. Exfoliation allows us to remove dead skin cells and let all those skincare ingredients go deeper to the skin and be absorbed. Our skin can restore itself every 28 days but it is recommended to do exfoliation at least once a week depending on your skin type. Is the ULTRASONIC SKIN SCRUBBER helpful in this case? Let’s see.

Benefits of exfoliation:

  • Remove dead skin cells
  • Allows better absorption of products in the skin
  • Improves circulation
  • Unclogs pores
  • Evens skin tone

We have a lot of methods and tools that we can use to do this. We can separate them into three big groups: mechanical, enzymatic, and chemicals.

Chemical peeling requires a lot of experience because in here, the chemicals are used to intentionally irritate your skin in order to activate the production of new skin cells. Experts use substances like alpha-hydroxy-acids (AHA), trichloroacetic acid, (TCA), glycolic acid, etc.

On the other hand, enzyme peeling is gentle, can reduce acne swelling, and can be used in almost every skin type.

Mechanical peeling, however, has only few side effects and it doesn’t only remove dead skin cells but it also activates microcirculation. There are a lot of tools and products that we use in mechanical peeling, nonetheless, my favorite is the Skin Scrubber or Ultrasonic peeling.

Ultrasonic Peeling

This device allows us to remove the dead layer of the skin and regenerate it completely using a metal spatula which is vibrating more than 20,000 times per second. This tool works with ultrasound waves that remove dead skin and blackheads. This vibration increases blood and lymphatic circulation and produces a lifting effect on the skin.

We can treat a lot of conditions with this technique but the most important are:

  • Fine lines
  • Open and clogged pores
  • Pigmentations
  • Acne scars

This is a peeling that most people can try at least once, has all the benefits that we are looking and have some advantages over the chemicals and enzymes.

Advantages:

  • Can be used on the face and body
  • Immediate results
  • Suitable for sensitive and dry skin
  • Painless
  • No recovery times

However, it is not effective for people with severe imperfections because it must be performed a couple of times to get the desired result. Though usually done every two weeks, your skin type will play an important role when deciding how many sessions would be enough for you.

Like all the aesthetics treatments in the market, there are some conditions we need to be careful not to treat, that is why you should always have a consultation with a specialist to see if this treatment will suit you.

Ultrasonic peeling is not recommended during:

  • Pregnancy
  • Active skin infections
  • Recent wounds
  • Recovery after chemical peeling
