Tips to avoid dry hands.

Our hands are the most used part of our body; we used them to grab and feel objects, and they provide the sense of touch.

They are exposed most of the time; hence contamination, weather conditions, tobacco, and strong substances can cause dryness and premature aging in the hands.

It is essential to follow some tips to avoid dry and damaged hands because they are one of the body areas that can actually tell someone’s age, but we tend to forget about them on occasions.

If we learn to identify the situations or factors that mess with the hands’ hydration, we can prevent them and learn how to deal with them to prevent premature aging of the area. Between them, we can find internal or external factors.

As external factors, we found a lack of humidity, cold wind, strong detergents, excessive handwashing, UV rays, and contamination.

And between the internal factors, we have a bad diet, hormonal imbalance, dermatitis, stress, and medications la diuretics.

What can I do to improve my dry hands?

  • Use protective gloves during house chores.
  • Avoid washing your hands with hot water.
  • Moisturize your hands after washing them or after you apply the antibacterial gel.
  • Exfoliate your hand often.
  • Don’t skip the back of your hands while applying moisturizer.
  • Use the remaining face lotion or cream for your hands; nothing should be wasted.

Which natural remedies can I use to treat dryness on my hands?

  • Almond Oil: Just apply a few drops on each hand and leave it for some minutes; this will balance the skin’s pH and increase cell regeneration.
  • Aloe Vera: Has hydrating properties and can improve pigmentation and wrinkles.
  • Bee Honey: Provides natural hydration and removes dead skin cells.
  • Egg white: Apply it for at least fifteen minutes and remove with warm water. Egg whites have antibacterial properties.
  • Castor oil and sugar: Apply doing circular movements, therefore will increase circulation in the area and at the same time will remove dead skin.

You can also apply Vaseline overnight on your hand and put a glove or a sock to seal the product; this way, you will prevent hydration loss.
