During this confined period of the circuit breaker, we tend to have more time at hand. Hence, we have more time to care for our skin and fit in all the routines and facial treatments that we did not previously have the time for. However, everything or subject has its do’s and don’t, and here are some skincare do’s and don’ts that will help you achieve better skin during this quarantine period.
Do wear your sunscreen
Even though you work from home, the chances of you getting natural light in the room are there. Hence, wearing an SPF, especially when you are working near a window is essential. This is because UVs can penetrate through your windows. Whether or not you re going out, wearing a sunscreen is always essential
Do sort your products
We all have lots of products and makeup tools that we use or either keep in our drawers that have been there for many many years. Use this time to go through them and toss out those products that are passed their expiry dates. Old makeup and skincare decomposes and harbours bacteria that leads to skin irritation and infections.
Do drink up on water
Now that you’re at home and not at the office, running the washroom every 20 minutes should not be a problem. An average man should drink at least 3.7 litres of water a day, while a woman should drink about 2.3 litres of water a day. We all know in reality very little people drink this much water, but try it and see what it does to your skin.
Do take a break from makeup
Don’t get us wrong, makeup isn’t bad for your skin but at some point, it does get a little challenging for your pores to breathe when they are covered with your liquid and powder foundations. Not only that, the more you see yourself without makeup, the happier you will feel with your natural face. This quarantine is the time for you to embrace your natural beauty. Let your skin shine!
