Skin Benefits of Egg Face Mask

Eggs, when applied topically, are generally considered beneficial for all skin types. Let me tell you some most known benefits that you can get by using a simple egg mask.

Because of their highly nutritious content, eggs are not only good for health, but they are also famous for their skincare benefits. When applied topically, they improve skin health, decrease puffiness, and give off radiant skin.

Skin Benefits of Egg Face Mask

Egg white is well known in facial masks for shrinking enlarged pores, oil control, and acne prevention. Lutein present in eggs hydrates the skin, improves elasticity, and repairs face tissues.  Riboflavin fights off the free radicals and, together with proteins, prevents wrinkles and fine lines. Hence eggs are fully packed with all the necessary benefits, particularly for oily skin.

To make a face mask out of eggs, you can mix them with various ingredients to modify the benefits. Let me share a recipe to make a mask for preventing acne and improving skin’s dullness:

  • Take 1 egg white; add 1/2 teaspoon of honey and 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice.
  • Mix them.
  • Apply over your skin and let them dry.
  • Once dried, wash with cool plain water.

You will see your skin is firmer and brighter, with lesser oil after applying this mask. Though it is safe, some people are sensitive to it, so doing a patch test is beneficial.
