The quality, cleanliness and softness of your make-up brushes can affect the final appearance of your face after make-up. If you keep using the same makeup brushes without even washing them once then you are building a castle for bacteria and other infectious microorganisms on your brushes. So your skincare routine should also include taking care of your brushes and cleansing them as well.

How often should you wash your makeup brushes?
There is no answer for when exactly you must clean makeup brushes, but most makeup artists and dermatologists generally recommend washing your brushes at least every two weeks. Moreover, frequent washing will extend the life of your brushes.

What should you use to clean your makeup brushes?
- Soak the bristles of your brushes in lukewarm water.
- Put a drop of your cleanser on the palm of your clean hand.
- Gently massage the bristles of your brushes over your hand.
- Then thoroughly rinse the bristles.
- Squeeze out the excess moisture with the help of the towel.
- Reform the brushes softly with your hand.
- Let the bristles dry with a hairdryer.
- Repeat the procedure twice a day.
