Find an anti-aging lip balm or treatment that includes most, if not all, of these ingredients and incorporate it into your daily skincare plan.

What if topical lip treatments don’t work?

Although topical lip treatments are a crucial component of excellent lip hygiene, office treatments can provide additional advantages.

Light laser treatments can be used to address pigmentation, which frequently appears on the upper lip, while fractionated resurfacing lasers can be used to target small wrinkles.

Compared to most injectable fillers, they stimulate the production of collagen and can soften vertical lip lines.

Injectables:

Not all lip fillers are done with the intention of creating Hollywood lips. With age, the border of the lip, the so-called white roll, loses its definition. This is best treated with a filler to restore volume and structure around the mouth. Over treating the lip border can give you duck lips, but subtle treatments go a long way to define the lip from the skin surrounding the mouth.

Hyaluronic acid injections like Restylane Silk, Juvederm, or the subtler Volbella can make the lips more defined and appear slightly younger, without dramatically changing the size.

And if you’re more concerned about lines and wrinkles, a few drops of Botox can also help soften and relax the muscles around your mouth.
