Hair damage is more than just split ends. Extremely damaged hair develops cracks in the outside layer that is the cuticle. Once the cuticle is lifted, your hair is at risk for further damage and breakage. It may also look dull or frizzy and be difficult to manage.
Before treating your frizzy and damaged hair you need to figure out the origin of why your shiny hair turned out to be so rough. After this try to completely eradicate the origin and then oil your hair regularly. The possible reasons for your hair damage can be:
- Dye
- Bleach
- Excess washing
- Using hot tools (like straightener, curlers)
Now let us take you to the guideline regarding removing the hair frizziness with some easiest tips.
Use jojoba oil: Jojoba oil can help strengthen and rehydrate the hair. Jojoba is frequently added to conditioners, but you can add some to what you currently own. You can also work a dime-to-quarter-sized amount of pure oil through your ends while your hair is damp.
Brush less frequently: It’s counterintuitive but brushing is when the damage is most likely to occur. Brush your hair before washing it and when necessary throughout the day. Be gentle when you brush.
Use a hair mask or conditioner treatment: Hair masks can’t work miracles, but they can help hide and protect against split ends.
Air dry: Avoid heat altogether and let the air do all the work for you.
