How to take care of dry skin

An unbalanced diet, climate, and poor skincare are the main reasons for dry skin. If you are looking to reverse or improve this condition, you can use products you can get at the drugstore or even try home remedies. 

How to recognize dry skin? 

It is easily recognized by the appearance of red, scaly, sometimes cracked areas that tighten the skin and may itch. The most frequently become dry areas are the nose, knuckles, elbows, knees, and feet. 

What are the causes of dry skin? 

Using inadequate skin products, weather, not drinking enough water, excessive washing of the skin, genetic predisposition, atopic skin, allergies, and hot showers are among the leading causes of dry skin. 

Home remedies

Oatmeal mask
A face mask made of oat flakes, hot water, and honey can help you, take the oatmeal and add hot water. As soon as the chips are swollen, add honey and stir for some minutes. Apply the resulting paste on the face leaving out the lip area and eye contour, and dry. Once dry, remove the mask with warm water.

 

Olive oil

Contains abundant vitamin E; it can be applied with a message directly on the skin. A thin layer is sufficient. Consider it leaving it overnight. 

Rosewater

Rosewater is often used in natural cosmetics because of its nourishing and moisturizing effect. It is obtained by steam distilling the petals of these flowers and has powerful refreshing effects. If you have dry skin, you can prepare a homemade lotion that will provide significant relief.

Honey

Honey contains valuable minerals and enzymes with a proven beneficial effect on the skin. You can use it by itself or in combination with yoghurt. It is especially effective against chapped skin and lips. It is also anti-inflammatory, so it can be applied to dry eczema.

Yoghurt

Ingested or applied topically, it will give you the benefits you need. It acts directly against dryness if used as a mask, promotes blood circulation, regenerates the skin, and softens it.
