Lips are more susceptible to dryness than other body parts due to their direct exposure to air and sunlight. It sometimes results in cracking and peeling of the lips. Are you looking for a way to get rid of dry and chapped lips? Stay with me to know the remedies.

Lip Balms
Use lip balms that have moisturizing and hydrating effects on lips. Some lip balms contain mint. They give a soothing effect to the lips, but they cause more dryness on lips. Always use lip balms that contain petroleum, ceramides, beeswax, or lanolin. These ingredients have more moisturizing effect.
Coconut oil
Coconut oil acts as an emollient and softens the skin. Applying coconut oil on lips makes it softer. Similarly, cucumber acts as an excellent moisturizer for lips due to the minerals and vitamins in it.
Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera gel possesses anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Applying this gel to the lips restores the damaged skin and makes lips rehydrated.
Drinking Water
Lips do not contain glands, so they cannot produce their own moisture which results in chapped lips. Drinking eight to ten glasses of water keeps your skin and lips hydrated.
