Bask in the sweet indulgence of chocolate face masks

Apart from tasting heavenly and improving the mood, chocolate face masks, when applied to the skin has a host of benefits. From deeply moisturising the skin, to keeping wrinkles at bay and adding a nourishing glow to the skin, chocolate does it all. Prepare a decadent treat for your skin at home with these DIY nourishing dark chocolate face masks recipes.

Chocolate and honey

This one is a thoroughly moisturising mask that will also add a glow to the skin. Melt some dark chocolate squares and pour it into a cup till it’s one quarter full. Add 1 tsp of honey into it and a few drops of lemon juice into it. Mix into a smooth paste and apply all over your face and neck area. Let it sit for 15 minutes and massage it onto the face in gentle circular motions. Rinse well with warm water.

Chocolate and clay

This chocolate mask saps extra oil away while moisturising the skin from within. In half a cup of dark, melted chocolate add 2 tbsp of Fuller’s earth. Mix well and let it cool for a while. Apply the warm mix on your face, and wash when dry.

Chocolate and yoghurt

This mask nourishes the skin while sloughing off dead cells and is great for people with oily skin. Melt 5-6 squares of dark chocolate (preferably unsweetened), andadd one and a half tsp of plain, fresh yoghurt. Mix well and mix in 1 tbsp of gramflour to it. Adjust consistency according to your preferences. Apply on the face and neck, wait for 15 minutes and gently scrub the skin while washing the mask away.

Chocolate and milk/cream

This is a perfect mask to treat dehydrated and extra dry skin. In one-fourth cup of melted dark chocolate, add one tbsp of heavy cream or milk and a few drops of honey. Mix well and apply this mask to the face and neck. Rinse off after 20 minutes. Wipe the extra stickiness from your face using a tissue and use toner to add freshness to the skin. Read More………….
