They form when a pore is clogged with dead skin cells and excess oil from your sebaceous glands *gross*. It may be tempting to pinch or squeeze the blackhead out, but don’t do this as it can cause unnecessary scarring and other forms of permanent damage to your skin. But, you don’t need to worry anymore because we have a neat trick up our sleeves that will help you get rid of blackheads for good.
Step 01: Start by washing your face with a mild cleanser and pat dry
Step 02: Gently exfoliate the areas of your skin that have blackheads. You can use the St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub. This scrub deep cleanses the skin and makes your skin soft, smooth and supple. Rinse thoroughly
Step 03: Next, moisten a cotton ball with a little hydrogen peroxide and gently dab it on your blackheads. Keep safe distance from your eyebrows and hairline as you will risk bleaching your hair. Hydrogen peroxide will help dissolve the blackheads and eliminate them from your skin
Step 04: Leave it on for 30-45 minutes and wash it off with water.
Step 05: Finally, remember to moisturise your skin with jojoba, avocado or olive oil while it’s still damp. This will act as an emollient that smoothens and protects your skin by retaining moisture.
