Most women over the age of 45 suffer from menopause, which is when the body goes through a series of changes due to the interruption of estrogen production, affecting hair and skin.
During menopause, about 30% is lost, so the skin aging is more evident; you will notice how the firmness is lost, the bags under the eyes increase, there is dryness of the skin, and the lines become deeper.
Because of all these changes, you should adapt your routine to avoid unwanted effects:
- It would be best if you washed your face every day, always choosing products such as micellar water or oils, avoid harsh detergents.
- Use a moisturizing face cream that contains hyaluronic acid, retinol, vitamins A, C, E.
- Do not forget to exfoliate your face with products containing glycolic acid or salicylic acid; this will remove the surface layer of dead skin cells that give a dull appearance to your skin and provide luminosity, in addition to increasing the production of collagen and elastin.
- Drink at least eight glasses of water daily and maintain a balanced diet.
- Limit alcohol and caffeine consumption.
- Use products with ceramides or glycerine to hydrate your body.
- ALWAYS wear SPF, even if it is cloudy outside.
