Adjustments to make to your skincare routine during Covid-19

What adjustments can we use? The face mask has become part of our lives for more than a year, and little by little, we have realized that it has affected our skin by its constant use, so it has been necessary to make some changes to prevent the most common and unwanted effects such as acne, allergies, and even lesions on the lips.

One of the most feared conditions has been the “Maskne,” acne caused by the mask’s constant rubbing on certain areas of the face; also, the rubbing, constant humidity, and sweat make this condition common. To avoid this condition, the use of sebum regulating products such as salicylic acid, retinoids, and niacinamide, which has anti-inflammatory properties, is recommended. Remember to wash your face before putting your mask on, wash it daily if you are wearing a fabric mask, or dispose of it in the other case, this will make a remarkable difference.

On the other hand, the eyes have become the most exposed area, so we must pay extra attention. If this area tends to have bags that make you look tired, even when you are not, you can choose products that contain caffeine, which will increase circulation in the area and allow for proper drainage. Likewise, if you are looking to keep the area hydrated and wrinkle-free, you can use a combination of retinoids, especially for the area, and never forget a touch of hyaluronic acid.
