Your skin can be oily, dry, or a combination of both, and each one of them has benefits and downsides. Also, each one of them can be prone to certain skin conditions and need different skincare routines.
In this post, we will discuss some tips to clean your face.
Oily skin
Oily skin is more prone to accumulate sebum. For this reason, the appearance of pimples, blackheads, and blackheads is common. So it requires a strict cleansing process to keep it free of bacteria and avoid acne.
You must exfoliate twice a week to remove the dead skin cells and impurities from the most superficial layers.
For your facial cleansing, you must use a mild facial cleanser such as micellar water twice a day, morning and night. If you wear makeup, never skip this step.
And is also essential that you don’t skip moisturizing, there is a misconception that oily or acne-prone skin does not require moisturizing, but this is entirely wrong.
Dry skin
Dry skin is caused by exposure to cold or very hot weather and low humidity or constant baths with high-temperature water.
Clean with lukewarm water; cleaning the face with boiling water and for a long time will dry out as it removes natural oils that we need t. So choose to wash with lukewarm or cold water.
Use mild cleansers; the use of harsh soaps can also affect the and dry it out. Use gentle cleansers, moisturizing bath gels, or special face washes that have moisturizing oils.
Always moisturize; this will help to maintain the skin’s natural water. The best moisturizers are those containing glycerin, which, according to studies, helps restore and improve the protective barrier function.
Combination skin
As the name suggests, those with combination skin tend to retain oil in the so-called T-zone, and keep the rest of the face dry. In these cases, you will have to mix a little of the tips we already gave you.
Do the cleansing with micellar water for the T-zone, and on the rest of the face, use very gentle cleansers with a moisturizing factor.
To do the exfoliation, use a mildly abrasive product, such as clay masks. Apply with gentle movements on dry areas to avoid irritation.
