Tomato and yoghurt anti-tan face pack

Are sunscreen and anti tan products the first on your list when you pack for a beach holiday? Summer holidays and swimming sessions can be fun, but coming back with a tan and then waiting for it to go off can be frustrating. While people from other parts of the world love a good tan, we Indians prefer to get rid of it as it does not go well with our complexion.

Tomato is one ingredient that has a number of benefits starting with the fact that they are loaded with antioxidants and are also super rich in vitamins and minerals which help battle common diseases. Onto the beauty benefits, tomatoes help in anti tan from the face and body and they work best when mixed with other supporting ingredients.

Tomato, Oatmeal & Curd

  • 1 tomato
  • one tbsp plain yoghurt
  • 1 cup oatmeal

Method:

  • Mash a few tomatoes until it becomes a pulp.
  • Now add a oatmeal (1 spoon) and curd (1 spoon) and mix well.
  • Now evenly apply this pack on your tanned face and neck.
  • Let it sit for about 20 mins and rinse off with cold water.
  • Do this thrice a week.

Tomato and yoghurt

  • 1 tomato
  • one tbsp plain yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Method:

  • In a blender, add the chopped tomato, yoghurt and lemon juice and blend to make a smooth paste. Use thick yoghurt to get a face pack that is easy to apply and not very runny.
  • Apply this mix to the skin and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off your face with cold water. Repeat this every day to achieve your normal skin tone. It can be used on arms and legs too.
  • If you have oily skin, opt for fat-free yoghurt or curd made with toned milk. Read More…………..
