3 Chamomile Face Mask Recipes For Glowing Skin

These chamomile face mask recipes are just the thing your skin needs for softness, health, and a beautiful glow. Chamomile has long been used in skin care products, both commercially and at home, to soothe and repair dry, irritated, and sensitive skin. The great thing about a chamomile face mask is that it’s easy to prepare, very quick, and most importantly, inexpensive.

1. Chamomile Oatmeal Face Mask

This chamomile and oatmeal face mask is great for those with dry, sensitive skin. Chamomile helps to soothe and relieve dryness, while oatmeal calms redness and irritation. This recipe also contains honey which also helps to hydrate while fighting off acne causing bacteria. The addition of sugar is optional as it works as a gentle cleanser and exfoliator.

You’ll Need:

  • 1/4 cup brewed chamomile tea
  • 1/2 cup oats – finely ground
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp white sugar – optional, for exfoliating

Directions:

  1. In a medium sized bowl, mix all of the ingredients until a thick paste forms.
  2. If you find that the mixture is too thick, you can go ahead and add more tea.
  3. Be aware that this mask can be a bit messy, so we do recommend that you prepare it while in the shower or bath.
  4. Massage into wet skin in slow, circular motions and let sit for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Rinse off with lukewarm water and pat dry.
  6. Use once or twice a week for best results.

2. Chamomile and Almond Oil Mask

A very soothing and hydrating chamomile and almond oil face mask that’s great for those with dry, irritated skin. Chamomile calms the skin and gives it a beautiful glow, while almond oil hydrates dry, parched skin. This recipe also contains oatmeal, which also helps to soothe, and honey, which inhibits bacteria, hydrates, and cleanses.

You’ll Need:

  • 1 chamomile tea bag
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp oatmeal – powdered
  • 2-3 drops almond oil

Directions:

  1. To a bowl, empty the contents of a chamomile tea bag. Add the honey, powdered oatmeal, and a few drops of almond oil.
  2. Mix well until a smooth paste forms. If you find that the mask is too thick, add a few more drops of almond oil.
  3. Apply the mask to a cleansed face and neck and leave on for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Rinse off with lukewarm water and pat dry.
  5. Use once or twice a week for best results.
