10 Clever Ways to Use Coconut Oil for Skin and Hair

In a 2016 survey in the U.S. it showed that 72 percent of people think coconut oil is healthy. Today, there are over 1,500 studies proving the health benefits of coconut oil. Here are 10 ways that people are using it; from home remedies, to beauty treatments, and more.

1. Eye Wrinkles

To help fight pre-mature aging you can gently dab a touch of coconut oil around the eyes. Alternatively Pure Fiji’s Anti-Wrinkle Eye Crème also contains coconut oil which reduces wrinkle depth by 45% after 3 months of use. High in antioxidants this powerful eye cream helps the skin maintain optimum hydration, reduces the depth of existing wrinkles and helps promote a more youthful appearance.

2. Makeup Remover

Coconut oil is anti-bacterial, anti-yeast, and also works as a great first-aid cream. Because of its detergent effect, it works well as a makeup remover. Rub coconut oil gently onto the upper & lower eye lids in a circular motion. Once your makeup has been sufficiently melted away, wipe the eye area with a warm cotton pad and continue with your facial cleanser. The coconut oil hydrates your skin and as a bonus will not sting or irritate your eyes.

3. Soothes Dry Skin

Add all the ingredients to your bath. The Epsom salts will help to draw out toxins while the coconut oil will help to soothe dry skin.

4. Lip Balm

Regardless of what season it is we all experience chapped lips. Not all lip balms are created equal and some include potentially toxic ingredients. The healing properties of coconut oil helps to nourish the lips, provides a touch of sun protection, and most importantly it is safe to consume. We also recommend Pure Fiji’s lip balm.
