You must know that sensitive skin is one that will overreact to environmental factors like heat, wind, cold, stress, hormonal imbalance, food, cosmetics, and even previous skin pathologies. This type of skin will not only limit you to choose certain cosmetics and restrict you from your daily activities.

Sensitive skin must have extra care to prevent breakouts, flaking, and an uncomfortable feeling; therefore, here, we will discuss the five signs which can indicate that you suffer from sensitive skin.

  1. Redness: The most common symptoms are burning, itching and redness.
  2. Altered Skin Barrier: This is the main reason why your skin can suffer damage faster; not only can your skin be thinner, but it also will allow the ingredients causing side effects to penetrate deeper.
  3. Dryness: It is caused by trans-dermic loss of hydration.
  4. Lack of shine: Your skin will lose all brightness and feel rough, making it uncomfortable to touch.
  5. Tightness: Lack of moisture and hydration will make it skin-tight and on occasions, will cause micro lesions and redness.
