DIY After Shave Lotion Recipe

Looking for an all-natural aftershave lotion? Look no further than this DIY aftershave lotion made entirely out of all-natural, soothing ingredients! This DIY aftershave lotion is not only for men – gals can use this lotion to soothe irritated and inflamed skin! Made with witch hazel, coconut oil, and aloe vera, this homemade aftershave will hydrate dry skin, calm and soothe irritation, and leave skin feeling and looking silky smooth!

Commercial aftershave lotions are loaded with ingredients which can actually further irritate the skin. Alcohols and other ingredients can cause redness and irritation, so a homemade lotion is a way to go, especially if you have sensitive skin. Another thing that’s great about this recipe, is that you can tailor it to your exact needs and/or preferences. For this recipe, we used coconut oil, but you can easily substitute it for olive oil, jojoba oil, or any other carrier oil of your choice. For those with oily and/or acne-prone skin, we suggest you stay away from coconut oil as it can clog pores.

  • Coconut oil comes into hydrate and moisturizes dry skin, plus it will leave skin glowing!
  • Witch hazel is a natural toner that balances the skin’s pH, sucks up excess sebum (oil), and leaves skin super soft!
