Apple Cider Vinegar for Hair & Skin

It’s common knowledge that apple cider vinegar (ACV) is good for our gut. But what most people don’t know is that it is also good for the skin and hair.

This is why…

Have you ever noticed some skincare products containing ACV?

Well, that’s because ACV has anti-inflammatory properties and can rebalance the pH of the skin. This is why it is often included in skincare products that aim to manage dry skin and acne breakouts.

apple cider vinegar may be found in the form of a cleanser, toner, or cream.

Some brands also like to combine it with other anti-oxidants to boost its ability to reduce post-acne marks and minimize pores.

But since it’s an acid, the best thing is to do a spot test overnight behind your ear or by the hairline before going 100%.

Hair

The acid from ACV works by lowering the pH level of the hair, restoring the normal microbiome of the scalp, breaking down the accumulation of sebum in the scalp, and reducing any form of inflammation.

Given these properties, ACV helps in addressing flakiness in cases of psoriasis and seborrheic dermatitis.

On the top of this, it can bring back the shine of your hair since it helps in nourishing your strands.

How do you use it?

They say that all you need to do is to add 3 tablespoons of ACV into filtered water and pour it onto your hair after shampooing.
